Search Engine Optimization Specialist
About the Job
Responsible for analyzing, reviewing and implementing websites that are optimized to be picked up by search engines, develop content to include keywords or phrases in order to increase traffic to website, conduct various testing methods in design, layout and advertising techniques in order to gain the most organic and paid traffic, have in-depth knowledge of keyword research, SEO copywriting and the behaviors of search engines. SEO is an ever-changing landscape, so an SEO specialist needs to be continuously learning and evolving.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reviewing and analyzing client sites for areas that can be improved and optimized
- Preparing detailed strategy reports
- Identifying powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
- Identify key SEO KPIs, Prepare and present reports regularly.
- Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences.
- Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Suggest improvements in process and productivity optimization.
- Collaborate with web developers and marketing team
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices.
- Running PPC campaigns
- Writing powerful calls-to-action to convert visitors
- Filling websites and other content with effective keywords
- Writing effective SEO content for blogs, websites and social media accounts
- Developing link building strategies>
- Analyzing keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors
- Keeping updated on both white hat and black hat SEO strategies to avoid stay within search engine guidelines
- Compiling and presenting SEO guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years’ experience on the above mentioned skills.
- Experience in digital marketing
- 2 -3 years of experience as Senior SEO specialist or similar role
- Experience in planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy.
- Experience with Google’s Keyword Tool
- A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
- The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as htaccess, robots, txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills
- Proven success in link building and viral strategies
- The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
- A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
- A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
- Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
- A background in creating reports showing web analytics - data and site evaluations
- An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry
- Familiarity with the best tools in the trade (black hat methods are prohibited)
- Have experience with each element of the SEO (backlinks, Meta data, sitemap…)
